Rick Sterner has been playing world percussion for sixteen years. He was a founding member of the 1990's percussion group Beat Stew, and percussionist for the Celtic group Out of Kelter, and was a frequent percussionist for The Sky Bar's Jazz Allstars Band.

He has opened for Cake, Mumbo Gumbo, Mick Martin, Clan Dyken and The Salvador Santana Band.

Besides playing congas, djembe, dumbek, riq, tar, bongos & drum kit, Rick also enjoys playing guitar, bass, piano and organ. He is also experienced in recording studio and live sound engineering.

Rick currently performs with "Fantacea".
